Colwyn Canoe Club - c/o Simon Fuller, email: safetysi@yahoo.com www.canoecolwyn.org.uk - Colwyn is a community club (we are one of the longest established clubs in N.Wales). We paddle in different environments from sea to white water, estuaries to lakes. We provide training Sept. to May in Eirias Park Swimming Pool. Along with Pool Blades syllabus, members are able to progress through proficiency standards and coaching quals if they wish, or just get out and paddle. Welshpool Canoe Club - c/o Ian Theedam - ian.theedam@tesco.net - 01938 810532 www.welshpoolcanoeclub.org.uk - We are mainly an adult recreational club involved in running local Mid-Wales rivers. We also encourage and coach junior members in river running skills. From October to March on Sunday eves, we hold coaching/practice sessions at Welshpool Flash Leisure Centre, where beginners are welcome. Fortnightly river trips are also organised during this period. We can accommodate people with disabilities. We have some first language Welsh members.

We particularly encourage families. We hold regular pool sessions (Sun. 4-5) during the winter and outdoor sessions (Thurs. 18.30) during the summer. We run river and sea trips and have weekend meetings at Llandysul and Llangennith. We are interested in slalom, wild water racing, polo, surf, sea and river touring and general recreation. We mainly paddle on local rivers, lakes or the sea.
